About LOBOS Fine Finishes
LOBOS Fine Finishes is a Phoenix-based painting contractor working across the Phoenix metro and the rest of Arizona. Interiors, exteriors, cabinetry, stucco, drywall, wood and iron, residential and commercial, with 15 years of it in this climate.
Most of what we do happens in occupied homes and trading businesses, which shapes how the work is run more than any statement about quality ever could.

What we're for
Finish quality is decided before any colour goes on
Almost every complaint about a painting contractor is really a complaint about something else: dust through the house, furniture moved badly, a patch that shows, a crew that vanished for three days, a final invoice that didn’t match the quote.
So the things we compete on are the things that cause those problems. Preparation, protection, scheduling, communication and a written scope you can hold us to. The finish is the outcome of getting all of that right. It isn’t a separate skill you can bolt on at the end.
What we actually do
Interior and exterior painting, cabinet refinishing, stucco painting and crack repair, drywall repair and texture matching, wood and iron refinishing, and fine finishes including Venetian and troweled plaster, glazes and sprayed lacquer millwork.
We work for homeowners, luxury and custom-home owners, builders and general contractors, property managers, HOA boards, multifamily owners, retail and restaurant operators, offices and investors.
What we won’t claim
You won’t find award badges, star-rating graphics, review counts, manufacturer partnership logos or a headline warranty figure on this site. That isn’t modesty. It’s that we’re only publishing what can be checked.
What you can verify: our Arizona ROC licence number, on the Registrar of Contractors website. Our certificate of insurance, provided with every estimate. Photographed before-and-after work on real jobs, in the project case studies. And references for comparable projects on request.
Warranty terms are confirmed in writing with your estimate, for your specific scope, because the honest answer genuinely depends on the substrate, the coating system and the exposure.
Why the Arizona part matters
Fifteen years of working here teaches you things a national specification sheet doesn’t. That the west elevation of a house needs a different repair scope to the north one. That a stucco wall in July can be far too hot to coat regardless of what the air temperature says. That chalking has to be washed off, not covered. That monsoon water finds every joint nobody sealed.
Those aren’t opinions about paint. They’re the reason two identical-looking quotes produce different-looking houses four years later.
How we work
Seven things we do on every job
Not values. Practices: the specific things that happen on your property whether it’s a single room or a multi-building repaint.
- 01
Preparation is the majority of the job
Washing, sanding, patching, texture matching, caulking and priming take more of our hours than applying finish does. It is the part you never see once the furniture goes back, and it is what decides whether the job still looks right in year five.
- 02
Protection before anything is opened
Furniture moved and wrapped, floors papered wall to wall, fixtures and hardware removed or masked, doorways sealed against sanding dust, landscaping and hardscape covered on exteriors.
- 03
Finishes applied the way the surface requires
Cabinet doors numbered, removed and sprayed flat so the film lays even. Walls cut in by hand where surfaces meet. Coatings specified for the substrate and the exposure, not for whatever is on the truck.
- 04
An itemised scope, not a lump sum
Your estimate separates repair from coating and lists the system and number of coats. You can compare it against another bid line for line, and you know what you are paying for.
- 05
Communication you don't have to chase
One point of contact for the schedule and the updates. If something changes, whether weather, a substrate surprise or a delivery, you hear it from us before you notice it.
- 06
Clean sites, daily
The work zone is swept and staged at the end of every working day, and material is hauled out rather than stacked in your garage until the end of the job.
- 07
A final walkthrough that means something
We walk the finished job with you and correct what you flag on the same visit. A punch list closed on one mobilisation is cheaper for us and better for you.
